I like HST's motto: "When going gets weird, the weird turn pro."

Also, a Ditty Bops lyric: "No nonsense makes no sense at all."

I always loved this line from "Darkwing Duck"...not sure whether it would apply as a slogan, etc...but it has always stuck in my head!!:

"I am the terror that flaps in the night, I am the weirdo who sits next to you on the bus....I am Darkwing Duck"

(the best part is the middle part!).

meant to say...to a 19 year old who wasn't even born when the movie came out (1986)!! But I was 9 at the time! And allowed to see worse than that at that age.

heck, I was reading Stephen King when I was 7.

Wow..nice..yea u really have read alot of them :P one question.. Is watching a movie better or reading a book? Key Point : Movies end soon :D

Jessica

Rank : 40

Posted : 1 year, 4 months ago at Apr 25 4:13 -

books over movies.
Books can end soon too, if you read quickly, which I do, especially if the book is so good that I can't put it down.

Also, my profile information regarding books isn't up to date. I have read much more than what is listed...if you think that is a lot, you must not read a lot yourself! That's hardly anything...my movie collection grows faster, so have been focused on that. When I get more time to myself, will be going through the music and books more.

Haf-Life is about a scientist named Gordon Freeman who worked on a teleportation at Black Mesa but something goes awry and causes a major explosion and things from another dimension come through and you have to make it out.
Half-Life 2 continues the story were Gordon comes out of "sleep" and find the earth taken over by the population from the other dimension, which are known as the Combine.

It's a really great game that everyone should play.
Very well written, great gameplay, no cut scenes that breaks up the story, and it has lots of great mods.

LOL! Those last two posts are awesome, Sarosh! But I think adversity both reveals and build character.

That last one is a joke. LOL.

I like Aspercreme's (muscle rub) old slogan, "You bet your sweet aspercreme." now it's "you bet if it's aspercreme" which takes all the fun out of it.

Well, very true. I think there is a Garfism about that, like "Growing old is required. Growing up is optional."

I like the first one alot.
The third's pretty cool.
The fourth, I want to understand, but can't. LOL.

Never let your schooling interfere with your education - Mark Twain

lol! I LOVE Mark Twain! He's soooo funny!

I have no idea who said this, but it's my step dad's favorite.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I had to kill because they pissed me off.

These are my three favorites.

"[In reference to Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails] I've always said that what Trent really needs is a blankey and a hot chocolate with marshmallows - he doesn't need another hole to crawl into. I think somebody should give him one of those little hard hats with a miner's light on it, so when he gets lost in a dark hole, he can find his way out." - - - Tori Amos

"Bad things happen to everyone. Acceptance is the only means of conquering them." - - - Thilian Quartus, Greek philosopher

"A work of literature doesn't need figurative language. The exception is the metaphor of the characters and conflicts representing sympathy and empathy, and the setting down of the book as exchanging something in your hands for something in your psyche." - - - Tom Ferguson

I wanted to see what this looks like, it does have something to do with slogans. But bear with me, I'm not sure if it'll work.

You know how old these threads you are digging up are Faith?

My favourite slogans are from Boilermakers:

"Once a Boilermaker, always a boilermaker."
and
"If its a boiler, we didn't make it."

Genius.

alright, I would like to comment on Thilian's, lol it is 100% true, they make you look stupid because they are so idiotic and your actually trying to argue with them, which just shows that you arent very bright too

And oftentimes when you do argue with them it's not that you're an idiot yourself, you're just an ignorant person erring on idiocy.
